Endpoints

Test an endpoint

Send a sample delivery to confirm your handler works.

POST/api/v1/endpoints/%7Bid%7D/test
cURL
curl -X POST "https://inboundr.net/api/v1/endpoints/{id}/test" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $INBOUNDR_API_KEY"

Sends one sample email.received delivery to the endpoint and returns the result. It's signed, timed and checked exactly like a real delivery. Nothing is saved, and it doesn't appear in the delivery history.

idstringpathrequired

The endpoint id (ep_…).

Example response

200
{
  "ok": true,
  "status": 200,
  "durationMs": 143,
  "error": null,
  "responseBody": "ok"
}

okboolean

Whether the endpoint returned a 2xx.

statusinteger | null

HTTP status returned, or null if the request never completed.

errorstring | null

Failure reason (timeout, unreachable, non-public URL, redirect), if any.

Use this to test your signature checking: the sample payload is signed with the endpoint's real secret.
